This tool makes re-gripping your clubs Easy, Fast, and More Affordable!!!
1. Using a hook blade, in a utility knife, score and peel off old existing grip. 2. Remove/ peel off all old grip tape using a scrubby, steel wool, or wire brush. 3. Apply grip tape to club shaft (Bought at golfer's warehouse, or other equipment supplier). 4. Take a small wooden tee, and stick it in the small hole at the butt end of grip. (This creates the air pressure needed to "Slip" the grip) 5. Pour a couple of tablespoons of gasoline or paint thinner right into the grip. 6. Cover shaft end of the grip with your finger, Shake a couple of times to coat inside of grip. 7. Pour excess over grip tape on club shaft. (Make sure the tape on the shaft is completely wet) Take the Grip-Slip, pinch the small end and insert into golf grip. (See Picture Above) 8. While firmly keeping hold of both your grip and the Grip-Slip, Take your club and insert shaft into the large end of the Grip-Slip, twisting slowly to slide the grip over the edge of the shaft (See Pictures) 9. Once the shaft has been threaded into the grip, continue to apply pressure while twisting and QUICKLY, slip the grip down the shaft until it stops. ( going too slow will cause the grip tape to grab the grip, any pauses in this step may allow the tape to set and force you to remove grip and start again from step 6 ) 10. Slide the Grip-Slip down the shaft, out from under the grip you just almost effortlessly applied, toward the club head. 11. Use alignment mark on grips to line up with club head if needed. Slide Grip-Slip to the club head, the tapered slot allows the Grip-Slip to slide right off of the club shaft, ( See Picture Above) set the club aside to dry (12 - 24 hours recommended)
This procedure gets much easier after the first couple of times you do it. After you complete your whole set, you will have saved yourself about $35 in labor and cut the wait time in half. This little tool pays for itself the first time you use it. And when you see your scores start to come down... YOU WILL SWEAR BY IT!!!
